VALORO Leather Supply Chain | Deeply engage in strategic cooperation with factories in Italy, ensuring the highest quality of home furnishings from the very beginning.
2026.07.17

After six months, the VALORO team once again set foot in Arzignano, the "Leather Capital" of Italy, in May 2026. This small town, with an area of approximately 34 square kilometers, houses 1,309 leather-related enterprises, among which there are over 600 core leather processing companies.

DANI | 75-year legend - The ultimate standard of leather for supercars

In May, we once again visited the DANI leather showroom. Michael, the CEO of VALORO in China, shared with DANI's Asia sales director Mr. Matteo and Diletta that the VALORO sofa created by DANI leather has achieved outstanding reputation and sales performance in the Chinese market. Matteo presented samples of the latest color series of the SETA series, and Michael immediately began to select color schemes for the new products to be launched in the second half of 2026.

Then the team moved to the finished leather warehouse, and the scale was truly astonishing. First, they inspected the progress of the SEAT series gemstone red finished leather customized by VALORO. Matteo said that the quality of the bulk goods was very good. Ms. Diletta then enthusiastically explained the characteristics of this batch of finished leather to us again, and expressed her expectation of expanding more cooperation with VALORO. Matteo also immediately recommended the new series of misty gray cowhide, whose quality was truly outstanding.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of DANI in Italy, as the leather supplier for Pagani supercars, DANI has long provided high-end interior leather materials for top luxury cars such as Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, as well as private aircraft and luxury yachts. It also covers multiple fields such as high-end home furnishings, luxury leather goods, and equestrian activities. The two parties carefully verified the details of the orders and successfully concluded the new cooperation, continuing to write a long-term mutually beneficial and harmonious story.

MASTROTTO | The Scale-up Enabling of Global Leather Giants

At the kind invitation of Mastrotto CEO Mr. Garziano, we came to the headquarters of the globally renowned leather company Gruppo Mastrotto in Italy. Mastrotto was founded in 1958 and has 15 factories (11 in Italy and 4 overseas), with its products exported to over 110 countries.

At the Guangzhou exhibition in March this year, Mr. Alessio Gentilin, the marketing general manager of Mastrotto, personally visited the VALORO booth. Both parties were highly anticipating the strategic cooperation. This time, it was received by Ms. Yiping, the sales director of the Asia region.

Yiping led us into Mastrotto's world-class leather storage center and gave us a detailed introduction. The center has a floor height of nearly 15 meters, with seven layers of vertical shelves, forklifts moving back and forth, and automatic packaging equipment operating efficiently. The entire shipment of leather is about to be dispatched to various parts of the world.

At the Mastrotto leather showroom, Mr. Fabiano, a technical R&D expert, introduced one by one the features of the entire range of leather materials. As a long-term supplier to international luxury brands such as LV, PRADA, B&B, Minotti, and Poltrona, Mastrotto is highly sensitive to color and performance and is skilled in one-on-one personalized customization. Moreover, each piece of cowhide has the OEKO-TEX® certification mark to demonstrate its safety and environmental protection standards. Michael carefully compared the colors and finally selected the Cognac 1306 (Crystalline Brown) from the BETA series. The order was quickly finalized.

NOPE | Continuous surprises of innovation and exclusive coloration

It only took a few minutes to reach the NOPE factory from Mastrotto. Michael presented the AI glasses as a gift to Mr. Edoardo, the VP of NOPE, and Edoardo was very pleased.

During the inspection of the bulk production, Edoardo introduced that the brown color of the SAHARA series chocolate is an exclusive color code specially developed for VALORO. The warm brown tone combined with yellow creates a dual-color effect, which is fashionable and modern. Michael showcased the "Flower Pattern" sofa made with this leather material. The final effect impressed Edoardo. Subsequently, Edoardo introduced a new type of leather applied to the seats of the French Dassault business jet. The surface treatment is superior to ensure aviation-grade durability.

The CEO of NOPE, Mr. Diego, drove a distance of 7 hours to meet us. In the showroom, Diego revealed that he was impressed by the "Living Soul" sofa in carrot and purple heart colors at the Guangzhou exhibition in March. After returning to his country, he produced large leather panels in these two colors and developed new colors such as cognac.

Edoardo also highly recommended the new series "MADISON" suitable for electric sofas. Among them, a new color was named "Luna", and its inspiration came from Ms. Luna, a core member of the VALORO team. She was extremely excited when she heard about it at the event.

Finally, we chose the colors of rich black, misty gray and oatmeal for the COVENANT series, and slate gray, tea brown and chestnut brown for the SAHARA series. The sofas made with these new colors will all be showcased at the VALORO booth at the Hongqiao CIFF exhibition in September this year.

LEONARDO | Line upgrade ensures excellent quality

After saying goodbye to NOPE, we once again arrived at the headquarters of our long-time business partner LEONARDO. Mr. Alessandro and his partner Mr. Massimo warmly received us.

In the exhibition hall, Alessandro showcased many new leather products. Due to the long-standing collaboration, Michael quickly selected the Elephant Grey from the TATTO series, the Amber from the BELLA series, the Beige from the ALICE series, and the Prince Brown.

The team immediately went to the workshop to inspect the finished products. Last year, Alessandro specially purchased an Italian SPRAYTECH latest spray-drying integrated machine worth 12 million yuan to meet the production capacity of VALORO. It mainly served the production of the ALICE series cowhide. Inside the workshop, the rollers, the softening machine, and the spray pipes were working in coordination. On the spot, the ALICE-201 finished leather of VALORO was undergoing edge trimming, ironing, and automated measurement. Michael praised that the quality of this batch of products was superior to previous ones.

The leather products after quality inspection are packed in boxes and then wrapped on pallets in accordance with international certification standards. They are transported by sea directly to the VALORO warehouse.

WIPELLI | Benchmark for Green Quality Control throughout the Entire Supply Chain

On the last day of the trip, the team went to the WIPELLI factory. The factory's sales director, Mr. Alex, and the CEO, Mr. Nicolo Culpo, received them personally.

WIPELLI was founded in 1985 and has a complete industrial chain. It has offices in Europe, the United States and Asia. It is a benchmark in the field of leather for high-end home furnishings, automotive interiors and luxury goods, and has received the LWG Gold Label and OEKO-TEX Eco Leather certifications for consecutive years.

The team visited the entire production line of WIPELLI: the large stainless steel tanning drums were used for the initial tanning process, while the medium-sized drums were responsible for re-tanning, dyeing, and greasing. Each unit cost over several million yuan. Subsequently, they visited core equipment such as the water extraction and stretching machine, the combined drum drying and softening machine, the fully automatic spray machine, and the drum ironing machine. The final inspection section of the finished products was conducted on a light inspection platform, where each piece was inspected and sorted. Michael tested the odor of the leather material to confirm that there were no irritating chemical residues. Finally, Nicolo wrote "VALORO" on the leather surface himself to witness their mutual cooperation.
