In late August, VALORO Waloire welcomed the core team members from Italy's Wipelli & Weleather and Germany's BestHides to Shanghai. Since then, in-depth discussions on high-quality leather, product design and home aesthetics have continued to take place in Shanghai.
ITALY | Wipelli & Weleather
As early as in May this year, when the VALORO team from Italy conducted a visit to China, Alex personally led the team to tour their cowhide production line. The Italian company Wipelli & Weleather was founded in 1985 and has a complete leather production chain. It has long supplied high-end home furnishings, luxury cars, and luxury brands, and holds the LWG gold mark and OEKO-TEX double certifications.
During this visit to Shanghai, Alex not only wanted to understand VALORO's strategic layout in the Chinese market, but also expected to investigate the first-line ecosystem of the Chinese home furnishing market.
Accompanied by the head of VALORO in China, Michael, Alex visited six Xingang Meikai Long VALORO showroom locations in Shanghai: Huanshan, Jinqiao, Wenshui, Zhenbei, Wu Zhou, and Pujiang.
As soon as he entered the showroom, Alex was immediately attracted by the "Vouso" design. He described it as having an elegant and relaxed style, with a fashionable combination of leather and fabric. Subsequently, he experienced the new products such as "Apaz", "Dasso", "Chasun Monhaixue", "Lushan", "Roundstone Beach", and "Hua Bau" one by one. He stated that the sofas of VALORO are outstanding in terms of both style design and color presentation, and the sitting experience is soft and comfortable.

During the visit to the stores, Alex also had an exclusive interview with the brand.
In the interview, he openly stated that he had been in the leather industry for 29 years and had been closely following the soft furniture market. In his opinion, the brands that truly adhere to using European imported finished leather are mostly luxury and high-end car brands; while VALORO Wavoreli's willingness to use such high-end cowhide at such a cost really impressed him. Especially, the sofa color is very high-end, from the style design, the texture of the leather to the color presentation, everything is astonishing, not inferior to any of the European luxury soft furniture brands.
In the evening, the group went to the Lujiazui Guojin Center to attend a dinner. Alex took out the latest and most popular leather samples and let everyone choose them on the spot, and gave special recommendations for the JAVA series in cocoa brown and black. The leather material Wipelli&Weleather comes from high-quality cattle breeds in the European mountainous pastures, with very few natural scars and a soft and smooth touch.
That night, Michael prepared Burgundy Grand Cru Pinot Noir wine to entertain his distant friends. During the meal, Alex video-called the CEO Nicolo. Michael remotely invited him to enjoy the night view of Lujiazui through the video.
At the end of the dinner, Alex demonstrated the waterproof and stain-resistant performance of the leather material on the spot: when water and red wine were spilled on the leather sample, a tissue wiped it clean. The real quality was verified, making the cooperation more certain. Michael made the order and cooperation details on the spot.
Under the witness of the dazzling night view of the city, both parties will join hands, with high-quality leather materials and meticulous craftsmanship, to jointly create a higher-quality home life aesthetics for the world's consumers.

Germany | BestHides
Four days later, on August 29th, VALORO Waloire welcomed its German partner - the CEO of BestHides, Mr. David, and the VP, Mr. Max. At Michael's invitation, they came specially to support VALORO Waloire's 9th CIFF Shanghai Hongqiao Exhibition.
In the afternoon, accompanied by Michael, David and Max visited several flagship stores of VALORO Waloire in Shanghai. Michael introduced the new sofa products, the domestic market layout and the store expansion plan one by one. Both of them highly recognized the brand's product strength and development plan. The two sides clearly defined the future cooperation direction.
Subsequently, we interviewed David and Max in the exhibition hall.

As the CEO of BestHides, David has been deeply involved in the leather industry for over a decade. He believes that the VALORO sofa not only embodies the meticulous and restrained craftsmanship of German style but also features modern home aesthetics. Its colors are particularly unique. He said that the sofas in the exhibition hall have a rich variety of colors, multiple types of leather, and the leather quality and grade are very high. The texture is soft and skin-friendly, the sitting feeling is comfortable, the support and wrapping are just right, and one can feel the brand's dedication to quality. David is well aware that high-quality leather originates from strict control throughout the entire process, and VALORO has done an excellent job in this regard.
His first visit to the China flagship store was better than he had imagined, and he even felt surprised. VALORO focuses on high-quality leather, which is visible and tangible. When asked which sofa he likes best, David chose [Harlan], saying that the leather is excellent, the princess seat is spacious, and it is called "Ottomane" in German, allowing one to relax by placing their legs. He also has a similar model at home and loves it, exclaiming: "It's Magic."
Max said that he visited the VALORO store in Huanshan in March this year and accompanied David and the VALORO team in Germany's Regensburg to complete the traceability of the Italian NOPE leather in May. This visit was only five months later, and the exhibition hall has been completely renovated. He praised the brand's efficient iteration speed. Especially the two sofas made of Italian NOPE leather - [Harlan] and [Lafleur], which deeply moved him and he confessed that he wants to buy them and keep them at home.

At sunset, the welcome dinner began at Li Yuan, a restaurant in Lujiazui Guojin Center. The two German friends preferred Chinese cuisine, so we specially chose this Michelin-rated Cantonese restaurant. The private room has panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower and the night scene of Lujiazui. An old friend who had been together in tracing the origin of German leather once arrived on time for the dinner, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy.
Michael prepared over a dozen bottles of Burgundy grand cru reserve red wines, and David frequently praised his wine selection skills. He also shared the lesser-known wine-producing regions: the Golan Heights in Israel.
Then, Max presented two bottles of the specially brought French red wines to Michael. One was Chassagne-Montrachet La Tertemelle Cabernet Sauvignon, and the other was Chassagne-Montrachet La Ronchamp Reserve. As the wine grew slightly alcoholic, memories of European colleagues came to mind: Düsseldorf, Innsbruck, Regensburg, Munich... Max also invited everyone to visit the nearby high-end leather factories in Vienna, Austria, for in-depth exchanges of craftsmanship experience.

From the St. Peter's Cathedral in Regensburg to the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, the best collaboration is a mutual journey, and it is also a timely encounter.
